Compact Disc

Compact Disc also known as CD is an optical disc used to store digital data. It was originally developed to store and playback sound recordings exclusively, but later expanded to encompass data storage, write once audio and data storage,rewritable media, video Compact Discs, Super Compact Discs,Photo-CD and Enhanced CD
CD players were commercially available since October 1982.
Standard CDs have a diameter of 120 millimeters and can hold up to 80 minutes of uncompressed audio or 700 MB(700 × 220 bytes) of data.
